A new quality-of-life update for 5.5 has been officially confirmed by developer HoYoverse, showcasing what is likely the best improvement to Artifacts since the implementation of the crafting system back in Version 5.0. Version 5.5 is still a few months away from arriving, as the action RPG is still in the midst of Version 5.3 and has yet to go through the contents of Version 5.4. While Version 5.4 should have much less to offer compared to the current update, the upcoming patch will still last six weeks and introduce players to Yumemizuki Mizuki in .
The update will take players back to the region of Inazuma for a flagship event and even offer them a new F2P event weapon, despite it not being as good as expected. Furthermore, HoYoverse has already confirmed several activities to have players occupied during Version 5.4, including a battle tower event that should take their team comp strategies and character builds to the limit, especially at higher levels. In fact, the tower event in 5.4 is extremely promising when it comes to its challenge level. However, HoYoverse is already setting its sights on the following patch, Version 5.5.
Through an official post on HoYoLAB, HoYoverse announced a series of quality-of-life updates that will arrive in Version 5.4. This includes the previously leaked weapon filter, substantial improvements to the in-game character guides, and even a tweak to the Serenitea Pot. However, what truly stands out is an update that isn’t planned for Version 5.4. but for Version 5.5, which states that the chosen sub-stats on Artifacts that have been crafted will be guaranteed to receive at least two enhancements while the Artifact piece in is being enhanced up to level 20.
