The globetrotting adventures of Indy in the likes of are half the fun of any movie or game in the franchise. While he has been to many places, there are still many he hasn’t been. Of those he has been to, some have been far too brief and not used well. However, which of the many possible options still available to him would be best used in a sequel?
A sequel for will likely be on the way fairly soon, given the success that the first game generated. While it may not be guaranteed, the developer has made a fair number of sequels for their other big property,, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch. Until then, there is plenty of speculation and a big one is where the map might take Indy this time.
While it seems like ’s secret ending points to Antarctica as a possible location for the DLC, this is not guaranteed either. The final image players see is Noah’s Ark resting in a cold and snowy environment. Currently, all that is known about DLC is that it will involve more of the history of Rome and the Vatican, so this cold environment might not be Antarctica at all.
Indy is no stranger to curses or to breaking them, and Indiana Jones & The Great Circle just broke a more real-life curse in the franchise's history.
With that in mind, Antarctica would be a great place for Indy to visit and explore. While history has not yet uncovered anything there, that doesn’t mean fictional Indiana Jones can’t. In fact, it would be the perfect place for a more haunting adventure if it followed in the veins of something like, a notoriously archaeologically-themed adventure from H.P. Lovecraft.
One of the places Indy has yet to visit in the Mediterranean is the ancient site of the Minoan civilization. The famous site of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth, as well as Daedalus whose son, Icarus, flew too close to the sun. The ancient civilization was a large trading power in the ancient world and one that, according to myth, demanded tributes from early Greek cities.
