If you feel the need to farm for clues for today’s puzzle, you are in the right place to get some hints. This puzzle felt a little challenging for me, but I’m also battling bad allergies, so that might be why. Either way, there were uses of some words I was unfamiliar with, and the purple category always likes to mess with people just for the fun of it. However, there are ways to get around the most confusing parts of the puzzle if you know where to look, which is where the handy-dandy tips come in.
If you are looking for a fun puzzle that won’t take a lot of your time, the NYT’s is the perfect quick-fix you’ve been looking for. It is a great version of a traditional puzzle that doesn’t require a whole day to solve.It is the perfect sampler platter, with just enough puzzle to give you a taste, but not enough puzzle to make you throw the newspaper away.
The tricky spots of this puzzle are mostly due to the issues with the purple category making things more difficult than desired. However,there are also some words that I wouldn’t have put in the same category that ended up there anyway, so keep that in mind.
