Justin Baldoni Lawsuit Against Blake Lively Will ‘Shock Everyone,’ Says Lawyer
The situation between and continues to grow, with a new report noting that Baldoni plans to countersue Livley in a case that his lawyers say will “shock everyone.”
After Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni alleging him of sexual harassment and of coordinating an effort to destroy her reputation earlier this month, Daily Mail reports that Baldoni is preparing his own countersuit. According to the report, the suit will be filed when courts return in 2025 and will look to debunk a variety of what Lively’s complaints allege.
The report notes that Baldoni’s suit will allege that Lively’s PR team, led by Leslie Sloane, were responsible for a variety of their own smear campaigns against Baldoni. The suit will also claim that various text messages from Baldoni and his team about Lively were presented out of context and that Lively’s publicist was planting stories about Baldoni.
In a statement to Deadline on the report, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman wouldn’t confirm or deny the news, but said that when they file their first lawsuit, it’ll “shock everyone.”
“I am not going to speak to when or how many lawsuits we are filing but when we file our first lawsuit, it is going to shock everyone who has been manipulated into believing a demonstrably false narrative,” the Hollywood legal street fighter told Deadline. “It will be supported by real evidence and tell the true story. In over 30 years of practicing, I have never seen this level of unethical behavior intentionally fueled through media manipulation. It reminds me of what NBC tried to do to Megyn Kelly and Gabrielle Union and we all know how that ended up. Standby.”
In Lively’s claims, she states that things got so bad during filming that an all-hands-on-deck meeting was called due to her claims of a hostile work environment.
