Hulu has officially shared the first teaser trailer for the upcoming comedy series starring Top Gun: Maverick’s Glen Powell. It is currently scheduled to make its debut sometime in 2025.
“When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers,” reads the show’s official synopsis.

The video provides viewers with a glimpse of Powell’s transformation as the titular Quarterback who disguises himself so that he can participate in college football. The half-hour comedy is based on the Eli Manning sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions, which aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series.
Chad Powers is co-created by Powell and Michael Waldron (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), who also co-wrote the pilot. This marks Powell’s first major TV project as the solo lead after previously appearing in 2015’s short-lived slasher comedy Scream Queens. The show also stars Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.
In addition to leading the cast, Powell is also executive producing via his Barnstorm Productions banner, along with Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN. Former Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and his brother, former NFL player Peyton Manning, have also boarded the project as executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Television, with Waldron and Adam Fasullo as producers.
