S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl delivered a compelling and terrifying open world experience upon its launch in late November, but the game also launched with a bevy of technical issues, which developer GSC Game World vowed to fix with post-launch updates and hotfixes. The first patch for the game went live last week, bringing hundreds of fixes. Now, the developer has released patch 1.02, which is decidedly smaller, but does still bring some important tweaks.
Specifically, GSC Game World has addressed several more bugs that blocked progress in certain quests. In total, this new patch fixes half a dozen progression blocking bugs in different missions, which you can find finer details on in the patch notes below. Do keep in mind, however, that the patch notes contain potential story spoilers for the missions in question, so peruse them at your own risk.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game sold more than 1 million copies on launch day. Read our review through here, where we awarded it a score of 9/10.
