Gigantamax Lapras is arriving in via 6-Star Max Raid Battles, being strong enough that you'll need a specific team of counters to target its weaknesses to defeat this boss. A step up from 5-Star Raids and Mega Raids, Gigantamax bosses are the most powerful bosses introduced to the game so far. You'll not only need to be more careful about which Pokémon you bring in, but you'll also have a larger minimum number of players to bring into the fray with you as a Raid party.
Following the launch of another giant boss Pokémon like Gigantamax Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur during the Max Out season, the arrival of Lapras' similar new transformation is a grand way to kick off the following season: Dual Destiny. On the other hand, the window of opportunity to get this epic version of Lapras for yourself is somewhat limited, only being available on a single day for a few hours. With that, you and every other keen member of your raiding party will need to act fast so you can add this iteration of the Transport Pokémon to your collection.
Even in its Gigantamax form, which is new in, Lapras is still a dual Ice and Water-type, meaning it has four weaknesses: Fighting-, Grass-, Electric-, and Rock-type attacks. This means that any of these attacks will deliver 160% super-effective damage compared to normal. Moreover, if a Pokémon of the same type uses a move, that attack is given a 20% STAB (same-type attack bonus). If you want to deplete the 6-Star boss' massive HP within the time limit, making the most of this bonus is a must.
You'll need at least 10 players in your Raid party to even have a chance at beating Gigantamax Lapras. However, the more you get up to the entrant limit of 40, the better.
