Max has officially enlisted four new recurring actors to Season 3 cast for the next installment of Mindy Kaling‘s hit coming-of-age comedy series.
Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), Devin Craig (Queen Sugar), Michael Provost (Insatiable) and Roby Attal (Red 11) have officially been tapped to play Essex College’s newest students. Further details about their characters remained under wraps. This marks Cruz’s first TV project in more than a year, following her leading performance in the short-lived Disney+ fantasy sequel series Willow, in which she played Princess Kit Tanthalos, the daughter of Madmartigan and Queen Sorsha.
The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 3 will feature returning cast members Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Mekki Leeper, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Paulino, Lolo Spencer, Renika Williams, and Mitchell Slaggert. They will also be joined by previously announced recurring actors Rebecca Wisocky, Nabeel Muscatwalla and Michael Hsu Rosen. As for Mean Girls star Reneé Rapp, she is still expected to appear as Leighton in a handful of episodes, after announcing last year that she had decided to exit the show as a series regular.
“It follows four college roommates at New England’s prestigious Essex College. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating as they live out their new, free lives on campus,” reads the show’s official logline.
The series is created by Emmy nominee Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, who is also serving as the showrunner. It is executive produced by Howard Klein. It is a production by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television. At the moment, the series has yet to receive an official release date for its next season.
