has officially revealed a unique set of cards, available first at this year's D23 Expo. The trading card game includes iconic figures from over a century of Walt Disney Company media. They make excellent collectibles for Disney fans, and that's not even to mention the burgeoning competitive scene.
So it only makes sense that the D23 Expo, the official, biennial fan event for all things Disney, would include some special happenings. As it turns out, that takes the form of a brand-new card set that tracks the history of the TCG to date, which will be exclusive to D23 and certain retail locations later this summer. Here's everything to know about the D23 set, what's inside, and how to get it.
A Disney Lorcana card that's been a cheap pickup so far might not be quite as easily attainable from here on out thanks to a big change.
The D23 Collectionwill be released on August 9, 2024 — in short, on day one of D23. It'll be available throughout the three-day event, from August 9 to 11, at the Ravensburger booth on the Expo's show floor.
However, for those who can't make it to the D23 release, the collection will also be available at select Disney parks and retail stores throughout the world, beginning on the same date of August 9. The locations that will carry the D23 collection include:
In addition, players in Australia can obtain the set from the Disney Store Pop-up Experience in Melbourne. However, it'll only be available there from August 10–12, and only while the limited supply lasts.
Disney Lorcana’s Co-Designer Steve Warner told Screen Rant what players can expect regarding banned cards in the future of the Lorcana TCG.
The D23 collection will cost $99.99 USD at both the Expo and retail locations around the world. Adjusting for conversion rates, that's €100 at Disneyland Paris and the Disney Store Dublin, £94.99 at the Disney Store London, and $174.99 AUD at the pop-up in Melbourne.
Buyers are limited to two D23 collection sets per customer.
