A premiere date for Season 2 has been announced.
The first season of the Frasier revival series premiered on Paramount+ in October 2023. It sees Kelsey Grammer reprise his role as Frasier Crane, which he initially played in the NBC sitcom that ran from 1993 to 2004.
Per Deadline, Paramount+ has announced that the first two episodes of Frasier Season 2 will be released on the streaming service on September 19, 2024. New episodes will continue to be released on a weekly basis.
“Same Frasier. New skyline. The new series follows Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” the synopsis for the series reads.
In addition to Grammer, Frasier stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Jess Salgueiro as Eve, and Anders Keith as David.
Fraiser Season 2 will also star Dan Butler as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton, Harriet Sansom Harris as Bebe Glazer, Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle, and Greer Grammer as Alice. Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Patricia Heaton, and Amy Sedaris additionally will appear as guest stars.
Frasier is written by Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli. Harris and Cristalli executive produce the series alongside Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon. James Burrows is directing two episodes of Frasier Season 2, which is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions.
The new premiere date comes after Frasier Season 1 received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour), Outstanding Cinematography For A Multi-Camera Series (Half-Hour) and Outstanding Picture Editing For A Multi-Camera Comedy Series.
The first season of Frasier (along with all 11 seasons of the original series) is currently streaming on Paramount+.
