Microsoft has announced a price increase for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles in Japan, which will take effect on August 15. The price of Xbox Series X will increase by 7,000 yen, Xbox Series S 1TB (Black) by 5,400 yen, and Xbox Series S 512GB by 6,600 yen. This is the second price increase for the devices following one announced back in January 2023.

The new prices are as follows:

Xbox Series X – 59,978 yen → 66,978 yen
Xbox Series S 1TB (Black) – 44,578 yen → 49,978 yen
Xbox Series S 512GB – 37,978 yen → 44,578 yen

According to Microsoft, this price increase is only for Japan, as it “regularly evaluates the impact of changes in market conditions on local pricing.”
