A new Baldur's Gate 3 mod has added a brand-new playable race to the popular RPG, allowing players to play as the reptilian Yuan-Ti race. While the beloved game from Larian Studios offers players a wide variety of things to do within its interpretation of Dungeons and Dragons' Sword Coast, the game features more traditional options for races and classes. Baldur's Gate 3 features the twelve classes offered in Dungeons and Dragons' base Fifth Edition, alongside eleven races to choose from. Now, a new mod is adding another popular race to the game.
Since the debut of Dungeons and Dragons' Fifth Edition in 2014, Wizards of the Coast has frequently added new races and classes for players to choose from. Dungeons and Dragons has introduced a plethora of races through its rulebooks, adding both beast-like races like the Tabaxi and Lizardfolk and former enemies like Goblins and Bugbears. Players have even been given more fantastical options to choose from, like Autognomes and Warforged. A new Baldur's Gate 3 mod titled «Secrets of the Serpent» adds a brand-new playable race to the popular Dungeons and Dragons-themed game. The mod, created by NexusMods users tepkunset and neonbutchery, adds the reptilian Yuan-Tis to Baldur's Gate 3, offering both «reptilian eyes» and «face scales.» Yuan-Ti characters naturally gain the «Poison Spray» cantrip, alongside resistances to magical effects and poison and benefiting from Superior Darkvision. The mod also adds new armor sets for the Yuan-Ti, as well as compatibilities with other mods.
