In a PSA to all Baldur's Gate 3 players, Redditor Chaunskey confirmed that anyone romancing Lae'zel should keep her inventory clear at all times. During their Baldur's Gate 3 Honour Mode run, they gave Lae'zel all of their expensive scrolls and potions, and when it came to the mating ritual duel scene in her romance, Chaunskey discovered that she was using these expensive scrolls and potions to throw at the player, costing about 2,000 gold in the process. As it was an Honour Mode run, this was irreversible, although, for another player, the financial damage could definitely be much worse than that.
As a result of this, it's fair to say that anyone romancing Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3 should keep her inventory free of anything that is used when thrown, such as scrolls or potions. It's clear that the game isn't taking into account the value of the items, and it could prove to be a very expensive date night for those who go into it unaware. That said, Lae'zel's romance in the game features some of the best storytelling and character development, and any fan of Baldur's Gate 3 should experience it at least once.
