Insert Coin Kicks Off Its Shenmue Collection With Ryo Hazuki's Tiger Jacket
It's 7 am on a Friday, you know what that means. It's time for another Insert Coin drop. The video game clothing store has already added Cyberpunk and Witcher lines to its website in 2024, and last week it gave The Last Of Us fans the chance to round out their Joel look by releasing a jacket that looks just like the one the complicated protagonist wears in Part 2. Today's drop is also headlined by a jacket, but the first Shenmue item at Insert Coin is quite a bit different from the brown Joel jacket added to its storefront last week.
Shenmue's Ryo Hazuki jacket might be the same color as Joel's and even look somewhat similar at first glance. Today's Insert Coin drop is far less subtle than last week's The Last Of Us one, though. Not just because of the crest on the front, but mainly because of the incredible tiger design on the back. If you're going to rep Hazuki in the wild, then your jacket needs to be game-accurate. For that to be the case, the Shenmue jacket needs a big badass tiger on the back of it.
If you love Shenmue and you want to rep the series without splashing out on a jacket, and without having a massive tiger splashed across your back, then there is another option. Joining the jacket in Insert Coin's Shenmue collection is a pin depicting the same tiger design as the one on the back of Hazuki's jacket. Both the jacket and the pin are available now on Insert Coin's new page dedicated to its Shenmue line, one that will hopefully be added to in the future.
Insert Coin customers are spoilt for choice right now when it comes to video game jackets. If the Shenmue jacket with a tiger on the back still isn't flamboyant enough for you, then the site's Goro Majima jacket has also been restocked. Hazuki's tiger is replaced with the intricate, very striking tattoo Like A Dragon's Majima has on his back. The best way to show your love for the Mad Dog of Shimano without having to spend hours and hundreds of dollars to get the tattoo yourself.
