In a recent episode of The Starting Line Podcast, host Rich Leigh had the exclusive opportunity to interview acclaimed actor Brian Cox. During their long conversation, which covered a wide range of topics, the subject of Cox's potential involvement in the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine movie arose, particularly regarding the role of William Stryker. Cox swiftly dismissed any rumors, stating, «I haven’t heard about it,» thus providing a definitive response to the speculation regarding his involvement in the film.

Cox revealed that following his portrayal of Stryker in X2 (2003), the role was passed on to his «old friend» Danny Huston, who portrayed the character in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
