Hoftix 25 has been released by Larian Studios for Baldur's Gate 3. This small update seeks to provide solutions for a few issues Baldur's Gate 3 players may be experiencing while they wait patiently for Patch 6 to arrive.
Since its full release in August 2023, Baldur's Gate 3 has received critical acclaim, winning Game of the Year and other such coveted awards many times over. The game has also been a hit commercially, reportedly earning the owners of the Dungeons & Dragons IP, Hasbro, over $90 million as of February 2024. Baldur's Gate 3 also continues to fare well in the eyes of its fans, with the game boasting nearly 600,000 daily players even months after its release.

The update mainly focuses on preventing rare code crashes when trading, hovering over enemies, or when loading Act 1. Also contained in this update is a fix for an apparent issue some players experienced following the game's tutorial with the pet Us remaining in the party, which prevented players from taking short rests.

Since the announcement of mod support, Larian Studios' official Discord has set up a channel devoted to Baldur's Gate 3 mod creators and continues to acknowledge that official support is in the works, with a tentative start date towards the end of 2024.
