One dedicated Terraria player has used their creative skills to transform their in-game world into a replica of Mt. Moon and its surrounding areas from the original Pokemon games. While Terraria takes place in a side-scrolling 2D landscape and Pokemon allows for 3D movement with a top-down view, this player utilized their years of experience with the game to make the transition work.
Mt. Moon is located in the Kanto region from Pokemon Red and Blue, although otherPokemon games have allowed the player to go there as well. The creator says they have been playing Terraria for almost 13 years and have logged about 3,000 hours of playtime so far, and impressively, they created this world with no Terraria mods, although they did utilize «a lot for paint.»
The version of Mt. Moon presented by this creator is almost an exact scale replica of the one appearing in Pokemon Red and Blue, right down to the tunnels that lead the player to other parts of the cave system. Probably the biggest difference between the remade Mt. Moon and the original is that the version in Terraria isn't filled with wild Pokemon like Zubat and Clefairy that jump out and start random battles with the player.
