It looks like Amazon could be gearing up to bring New World to consoles.
An advert for something titled New World Aeternum reportedly appeared on the PlayStation Store today, before being pulled.
The Reddit user who spotted the “sponsored” content said clicking on it returned an error message and that it was soon removed from the storefront.

Aeternum is the main location and the name of the island in Amazon’s New World. The MMO was released for PC in September 2021 and received its first expansion last October.
If the PlayStation Store advert was genuine, it would suggest that Amazon could be gearing up to launch a different version of the game for consoles, or perhaps that the existing product could be in line for a rebrand.
An Amazon Games job advert which referenced New World: Aeternum was also spotted online last month.
Players might not have long to wait to find whether the game is in the works for console, as New World will be featured at Friday’s Summer Game Fest showcase.
“Mark your calendars for June 7 to witness an exciting announcement”, Amazon teased recently.
