13 years after the release of Skyrim, developer Slavic Magic is keeping its janky spirit alive. As one Reddit user discovered, if you walk on fallen logs inside of a burning building in Manor Lords, you'll be propelled into the atmosphere as though an overly protective giant just clubbed you.
They attached a few screenshots of their ascent - they shoot up into the air above the nearby village, making it look like that miniature set in Hot Fuzz, before climbing so high that they're above the clouds. "You can get launched pretty far up but I haven't managed to leave the planet yet," the original poster commented. "Will keep trying, for all making and all that."
You can't jump in Manor Lords, but interestingly, there are animations for launching into the air and falling. This might mean that there are plans to add this functionality in future--the game is in early access, after all--but it's likely just leftover base animations from Unreal Engine.
Manor Lords is a medieval RTS city builder, meaning you spend most of the time in a bird's eye view (without having to jump onto a log in the middle of an inferno). But there is a player character model which you can use in third person to get a more intimate look at your surroundings.
As the original poster points out, to access this mode, you need to click the eye icon next to your character portrait in the top right.
However, you can't do much from this perspective. That might change with later updates, but for the time being, it's purely aesthetic. Everyone also shares one model, so if you pull off this glitch, you'll be doing it as the same bearded man in a red cape.
Manor Lords is a strategy game that has you roleplaying a Medieval lord. You're the one calling the shots as you send your soldiers into huge battles while also maintaining the social balance back behind your walls.
