The Wonderful One: After School Hero Part 1 was a Kickstarter backer promise back when the remaster itself was on the crowdfunding service. The proposed game was a 3D asset-using Mega Man-style platformer, with small enemies alongside massive bosses. Luka’s story is playable with a bit of laser-shooting and in both a fun-focused arcade mode and a full-on challenge mode. The DLC will be split into two parts – with the second part coming soon and both DLC packs involve owning the full original Remastered game.
The DLC is available now on Steam, the Nintendo eShop, and the PlayStation Store. Those who got the game when it was available as a PS+ freebie will be saddened to know that the license for that has expired and you will have to buy the game to get this content. Fortunately, The Wonderful 101 Remastered does go on sale quite a bit – so if you want, you can always wait a few weeks or months and see what sales shake out.
