Ubisoft’s arrives this year but doesn’t have a specific release date yet. However, fans will get another look at the science fantasy space action-adventure game when the story trailer premiers on Tuesday.
Ubisoft announced Star Wars Outlaws’ upcoming story trailer in a recent Twitter post on Friday. Fans can hop in the live chat now on YouTube, though the premiere doesn’t start until 9 AM Pacific/12 PM Eastern on April 9. Hopefully, the new trailer will also narrow down the game’s release date. Star Wars Outlaws hits PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 in late 2024, but Ubisoft hasn’t set a specific date.

Star Wars Outlaws follows rookie scoundrel Kay Vess, her alien companion Nyx, and droid sidekick ND-5 as they plan the galaxy’s greatest heist. Fans have yet to see much from these characters. However, Massive Entertainment explained that Kay’s friendship with Nyx and relative inexperience are key to her character. Meanwhile, ND-5 is a Droid Commando unit constructed by the Separatists during the Clone Wars. He thus represents an exciting opportunity for a serious look at what happened to the CIS’s droid soldiers after its defeat.
The game takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Star Wars Outlaws sees the Rebels on the back foot, the Empire is cracking down, and criminal syndicates are expanding their influence. According to co-director Julian Gerighty, this is the ideal setting for a story about a young outlaw cutting her teeth.
