Super Mario Bros. and LEGO have revealed eight brand-new collaboration sets based on the popular Nintendo property, which will all be available to purchase on August 1. Nintendo has collaborated with LEGO on a number of its properties, including the Super Mario Bros. franchise. Ever since their introduction in 2020, Nintendo and LEGO have partnered on a number of occasions to bring the franchise to life in LEGO form. This includes a number of playsets and figures based on popular Super Mario levels and characters.
One of the most recent sets announced was the LEGO Super Mario Kart set, which was revealed during MAR10 Day. This set wasn't shown in detail and was briefly showcased. However, LEGO did give a brief demonstration and look at some of the sets that would release later in 2024, including one based on Bowser's Train from Super Mario 3D World and a battle with Roy the Koopaling at Peach's Castle. These eight sets are Adventures with Interactive LEGO Mario, Adventures with Interactive LEGO Luigi, Adventures with Interactive LEGO Peach, Soda Jungle Maker Set, Goombas' Playground, The Bowser Express Train, King Boo's Haunted Mansion, and Battle with Roy at Peach's Castle. All of these Super Mario-themed LEGO sets will be released on August 1. Some of these sets include the interactive Mario character LEGO figures, which include voice lines for Mario, Luigi, and Peach, much like the starter course sets, but on a smaller scale.
Alongside the three sets that include interactive figures of the heroic characters, the other five sets are based on different Super Mario Bros. level themes and characters, such as a set of Goombas having fun by themselves, a huge set based on the lush Soda Jungle from the New Super Mario Bros. games, and even a level set featuring King Boo.
