Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have just released their mid-season Reload for Season 3, which adds two new multiplayer modes, two core 6v6 maps, a new Zombies mission, and more. When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched in 2023, it was considered to have one of the best multiplayer suites in recent years with its remade Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps. In the months since, sentiment surrounding the game has grown more positive, as even Sledgehammer Games' original map additions have been mostly well received.
Season 3 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone already introduced a lot of new content when it went live earlier in April. Call of Duty Multiplayer fans were treated to three new 6v6 maps in 6 Star, Tanked, and Emergency. Accompanying these map additions was the return of the popular Capture the Flag and One in the Chamber game modes. The long-awaited return of Rebirth Island had Warzone fans abuzz as well.
Now, Call of Duty has unveiled everything coming to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as part of Season 3 Reloaded, which has just recently gone live. Grime is a medium-sized 6v6 map that pits players against each other in a graffiti-covered London dock area. The second 6v6 multiplayer map coming to Modern Warfare 3 is a repurposed slice of Rebirth Island, named Checkpoint, which takes place in Rebirth's eastern Stronghold point of interest.
Minefield mode adds an explosive splash to some of Modern Warfare 3's already existing game modes. Players who are eliminated spawn a Proximity Mine on their corpse that only triggers when stepped on by teammates. The mode is sure to be a blast on some of the game's smaller maps, like Shipment, Stash House, and Meat. Joining Minefield is Escort, a payload-like mode where the attacking team pushes a MAW device forward by standing near it.
