After joining forces with Preston Garvey and the Minutemen, players will be sent all over the Commonwealth to help people in need as they attempt to reform society. Sunshine Tidings Co-Op, a fairly large settlement that's been overrun by Feral Ghouls, is a little disappointing given the dullness of the encounter, but a new mod aims to fix that.
Posted to Nexus Mods by creator Bludwolf, the «Sunshine and Cannibalism — Stranger Commonwealth» makes the battle for Sunshine Tidings significantly more exciting by replacing the low-level enemies with two extremely powerful Ghouls that have a taste for human flesh. Described as a boss fight that will reward players with legendary items, the Ghouls spend their days luring travelers to stay at the co-op only to kill them and harvest their flesh. Aside from the unique weapons dropped by the foes, the mod also adds in two notes to provide players with some backstory for how Sunshine Tidings became so grisly.
Whether it's realistic character models or environmental adjustments, these mods make Fallout 4 feel more like Prime Video's TV series.
The «Sunshine and Cannibalism» mod is part of a series of add-ons that forms the «Stranger Commonwealth» collection which aims to make the Boston Wasteland a little weirder to explore. The addition of two cannibal Ghouls is certainly a major improvement over the vanilla version of Sunshine Tidings, given that the fairly large settlement is protected some extremely weak Feral Ghouls and some random critters. Defeating these enemies and claiming the land for the Minutemen isn't exactly satisfying give how easy they are to overcome; this way, victory feels more earned.
