The Meta Quest 3 has been around for a while now, having launched in October 2023 as a successor to the Quest 2, but with a smaller design, improved processor, better speakers, and higher resolution. The Quest 3 also started adding more mixed-reality features to the experience to blend virtual and real-world environments, but many Quest 2 users have been content with their devices — the Quest 2 was only released three years prior and still holds up extremely well for VR after all — and therefore haven't felt the need to upgrade, and VR, in general, has been somewhat overlooked.
