The Witcher fans have been a hard bunch to please ever since it was confirmed that Geralt actor Henry Cavill would be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. Whether it be a story decision, outfit choices, or any dismissal of the books' established lore, fans have found something to be upset over.
You have to feel a little bit for Hemsworth, who will be voluntarily walking into a role that will almost definitely see him pilloried from every angle if he produces anything other than a standout performance, but it's safe to say that the show's costume department isn't doing him any favors. It's difficult to imagine Geralt going up against a monster in something that dad would wear during his midlife crisis.
In fact, modern clothing has been a pretty consistent complaint against The Witcher's costume department, having torn Geralt and Yennefer's outfits in Season 3 to shreds back in 2023. Of course, a backlash from a minority of Witcher fans on Reddit or Twitter wouldn't be enough to force the hand of a streaming giant like Netflix, so it seems like we'll have to try and get used to Geralt and co looking a little more modern than we're used to, despite the
