Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is expanding access to Season 3, The Land of Blood and Snow, starting this weekend, and there’s a new video on the season to prepare before the mid-season update.
The seasonal model continues, with access opening up for Champion level supporters on June 8th, which is when the mid-season update will be out. Supporters get their week of play starting on the 15th. The new video is another peek at what’s been added and what the VIP level has had access to for a few weeks now. With the additional zone to explore, new spell visual effects, new music and sound effects, the Hanggore dungeon gets another look too, in the midst of the snowy, rocky terrain. You need only look to the season’s title for clues to what it's like adventuring out there.
When it comes to snow and the environment, Pantheon’s seasonal update added new weather effects and with them, the Acclimation system. This is a feature that you’ll want to know if you plan to jump in. Brutally cold environments will have an impact on you if you don't learn to acquire items and strategically use things like drinks and bonfires to keep the effects of the cold at bay. If you want to survive, you’ll need to be strategic and tend to yourself, but also not expose yourself for too long either.
Vicarious Visions is also touting the addition of more than 100 class and skill changes this season, along with boosted XP rates. The full video doesn’t go into details, since it is mostly an overview of what the team has accomplished, but the collection of recent patch notes has all the info you’ll need.
