Three brand-new Sonic the Hedgehog-themed LEGO sets have been revealed, and are slated to be released later this August. Sega and LEGO previously collaborated to produce a few Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets in 2022, which were quite successful. This partnership continued in 2023 when five new Sonic LEGO sets were launched, which featured Sonic, Tails, and Amy. The momentum is continuing in 2024, with Sega and LEGO collaborating again on the production of three new sets.
Three new Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets were released this past January, based on Shadow, Knuckles, and Rouge. These sets were focused on aspects of their characters, such as Shadow riding a motorcycle on a highway and Knuckles battling against Rouge the Bat. Shortly after the release of these three sets, fans were clued into another three sets that will be released this summer. They won't need to wait too long for the next set either, as LEGO has confirmed when these sets will be released.
New listings for these Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets were posted on the official website. They are known as the Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine, Tails' Adventure Boat, and Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster. In these sets, fans can build a variety of scenarios, such as Knuckles guarding his precious Master Emerald from an Eggrobo, Tails and Sonic riding on a boat across the ocean, and Super Sonic and Shadow battling the nefarious Dr. Eggman who is using a deadly drilling robot. All three of these sets will be released on August 1.
Details of these Sonic LEGO sets were leaked back in January, along with their prices. While the leaks got most of the details right, including the premises of each set and the projected release date, the prices were a little off, though much cheaper than what was initially leaked. The leak also included an unknown 18+ LEGO set, which is a more complex version of the standard LEGO set that is designed to be constructed by adults. That set will supposedly be released later in October 2024.
