Though Xbox mighthold a digital showcase focusing entirely on the next Call of Duty game next month; it appears Activision might reveal the next game sooner than that, as data miners have found information that indicates a reveal could happen this month.
As spotted by CharlieIntel, data miners found references to "s3_cerberus_reveal" in the Call of Duty: Warzone game files. Though this year's Call of Duty does not have an official codename, the company posted a teaser image featuring an orange three-headed wolf logo in yesterday's Xbox Games Showcase announcement.

Though no official public announcement has been made, there have been numerous reports and speculations about the next Call of Duty games. Several reports claimed this year's Call of Duty will be called Black Ops V, with Treyarch taking point as the lead developer. In a report published by Windows Central last year, the outlet claimed that the forthcoming Call of Duty game will have a "nuanced" narrative set during the Gulf War and show the global political fallout after the events of 2020's Balck Ops: Cold War.
The news comes a day after Microsoft announced it was holding an Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 9. The company is expected to share updates and announcements of games headed to Xbox consoles in the coming months or years. Immediately after the Xbox Games Showcase, the company revealed it would have a separate direct dedicated to an unannounced project.
Regardless of when the next Call of Duty game will be revealed, fans won't have to wait too long before a reveal. Regarding a release window for the next Call of Duty game, The Verge reported yesterday that Xbox's second half of 2024 will be stacked for the company, with the next Call of Duty game slated to launch sometime in late October.
