With just days to go until the annual Pokemon Day festivities, Pokemon revealed the preliminary notes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Patch 1.2.0. The patch is slated to come at the end of February and will bring back a feature that was initially missing from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as well as address some of the bugs that continue to mar the experience of these games.
It is no secret that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been riddled with bugs and performance issues since the games launched in November 2022, as seen by some of the unused building data that was recently uncovered. Lately, both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have made efforts to address as many of them as they can, with feedback provided by players on social media. While Patch 1.2.0 looks to address some of the outstanding bugs, only time will tell if and when future updates will keep the trend going.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Giving Away Special Garganacl in New Distribution Event
In addition to addressing bugs, such as ones related to Dodonzo and Zoroark that caused the moves and abilities of these Pokemon to behave incorrectly in certain battles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will bring back Box features that were not part of the launch. This will allow trainers to move items and Pokemon, as well as change nicknames, ribbons, and moves while in the Box. Plus, some Pokemon and NPC spawn points will be cut down in the game, which could have an adverse effect on Shiny Hunting for specific Pokemon.
