A Pokemon fan artist had the amazing idea of giving Milotic a mega evolution. Officially Pokemon has over 1,000 monsters, but in practice, this number is even higher when considering variants. Each generation of games brings a different concept that gives Pokemon new appearances, and spices up the experience of playing Pokemon.
One of the different gimmicks introduced to players in nine generations of Pokemon games is the mega evolution. The mechanic debuted in Gen 6 and consisted of giving Pokemon temporary evolutions. Not all Pokemon have earned the mega evolution treatment, but the Pokemon that got one changed their look quite a bit. The mega evolution mechanic caused such a shock among Pokemon fans, with some pointing out its simliarity to evolutions in Digimon.
Pokemon Fan Makes Fusion Art of Sharpedo and Dhelmise
Reddit user MarceloGiribaldi shared fan art that imagines what it would look like if Milotic had a mega evolution. Fans first saw the Water-type Pokemon in Gen 3 and learned about its curious history. Milotic's pre-evolution Feebas has a rather unattractive appearance and is ignored even by other Pokemon. When Feebas evolves, however, its look completely changes as Feebas transforms into the beautiful Milotic. MarceloGiribaldi's fan art elevates Milotic's original design by creating a mega evolution with a rainbow-colored body, blue antennae, a pearl on its forehead, and three pearls on the tip of its tail. Previously the same artist made fan art giving Flygon a neat mega evolution.
