Dying Light dev Techland has been teasing a new open-world fantasy RPG would be their next big thing after Dying Light 2 for some time, and now they’ve shared a new piece of concept art for the project. Much like the first piece of concept art Techland shared last year, the art shows a more natural environment than we're used to from them dotted with large cliffs and various temples and ruins, but this new image shows a bit more.
First off, we see a character hanging off the branch of a large tree, clearly indicating the parkour climbing Techland perfected in Dying Light is returning. We also get a better sense of the scale Techland is working with – this image shows a very large world, with vistas spreading out in every direction. If you look closely, we also see people going into one of the temples and what appears to be a small village in the distance, so this isn’t going to be a lonely, abandoned world. It’s also definitely not an alternate version of earth, as we see a large shattered moon hanging in the sky. Check it all out for yourself, below.
