Sandberg himself showing up to play one of the extras in a fight sequence. Since the film’s release, he shared a behind-the-scenes video of him filming his scene, which is hilarious and fascinating.
After a four-year wait, the sequel film Shazam! Fury of the Gods finally arrived in theaters after experiencing several delays. While the film was confirmed in 2019, its journey to the big screen has been long. It was initially scheduled to release in April 2022, but Shazam 2 was pushed back several times due to the ongoing pandemic. However, Sandberg's vision has finally come to fruition, but it might not have received the same amount of love as the original Shazam! His cameo got people talking, though.

Sandberg shared the video on his official Twitter account and wrote, “Doing my own stunts.” When the film was released, some keen-eyed DC fans spotted the director in one of the sequences and even pointed it out on social media. The Shazam 2 behind-the-scenes video that Sandberg shared confirms his cameo during one of the fight sequences. Shot in front of a blue screen in some field, the scene involves several people running away from a threat. Sandberg, however, gets picked up by a stunt wire toward the end of the video, which correlates to the scene in question.
