star Zachary Levi appeared at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, also known as C2E2, to do a Q&A with fans. During the panel, he revealed his thoughts on the movies and the status of a third film.
The Wrap reported some of Levi’s answers to various questions from throughout the Q&A, where the star touched on a few big topics. First was his opinion on the sequel,, which has been having a difficult run at the box office. In one answer, Levi said that the sequel is “objectively … a better movie” than the original.
“I think is objectively, actually, a better movie than the first film,” the actor stated. “A lot of people don’t think so.”
When asked if the character of Shazam will continue to be in the DC Universe going forward, Levi was hopeful, though he stated he has yet to have any conversations about it.
“I don’t know man. I mean, this is what I know. A business is a business. So, they don’t tend to make more products of something that didn’t make them the money that they wanted, right?” Levi answered.
“I would love to keep playing this role. I am literally paid to be an immature version of myself. I would highly recommend. But, I don’t know. And I haven’t had any conversations about it. So, I’m just kind of here, living life!”
is directed by David F. Sandberg () from a screenplay written by scribe Henry Gayden. It is produced by Peter Safran. The film is now playing in theaters.
