Servers for Destiny 2 as well as its predecessor will remain offline throughout much of the day as the developers work on implementing a new hotfix that aims to eliminate many of the common issues that players have been facing since the launch of the game's latest expansion. In particular, Bungie has claimed that this patch aims to fix the «invisibility» glitch that many Destiny 2 fans have frequently been running into recently.
While there have been many commonly reported technical issues across all platforms since Destiny 2: Lightfall was released, perhaps the most irritating bug has been one that causes the player model, their held weapons, and other nearby Guardians to become invisible due to not correctly loading in. This issue seems to have been encountered by players across all platforms, and generally occurs after playing the game for a couple of hours without closing it. While this problem has been reported by players over the past couple of years at least, it seems to have become significantly more widespread since the launch of Lightfall, and seems especially problematic in activities such as the Crucible.

Fans have been making use of a makeshift solution to this problem over the past couple of weeks which involves closing and reloading the game every once in a while, though it proved to only prevent the issue temporarily. In last week's TWAB post, Bungie announced that they had scheduled a fix for this invisibility glitch, which will go live with the upcoming hotfix.
