Frontier Foundry and Haemimont Games have announced that their survival sim game Stranded: Alien Dawn will launch on 25th April across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. One final update to the Early Access version of the game will arrive next week with Trade & Farm coming out on 28th March.
Stranded: Alien Dawn is a communal survival sim, with each game seeing a small group of survivors crash landing on an alien plant after their space ship blows up. Marooned on this potentially hostile planet, they need to build shelter, learn about the local flora and fauna, figure out how to use these newfound resources to survive, and build a sustainable home for themselves.
Each survivor has a distinct backstory that informs their traits and unique skills that informs how they can best be put to use to survive, but you’ll have to guide them and try to make sure they’re getting entertainment, relaxation and can build relationships despite the alien surroundings.
Since launching into Early Access last year, Haemimont Games has put out regular content updates, starting with difficulty modifiers and a desert biome in the Dunes and Moons update, letting you tame local animals in its second update, and now with the fourth and final update, Trade & Farm, expanding the game’s setting to include new factions and nearby ships with which you must trade resources to earn Galacticoins.
With the game now a month away, they’ve announced that those pre-ordering or purchasing the game by 9th May 2023, on any platform, will be able to use an exclusive Emergency Landing pod model and a new wooden plank construction material as part of an Early Adopter launch bonus.
