Merrin, the Nightsister who joins Cal Kestis' crew towards the end of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, has been confirmed as being pansexual in a new novel bridging the gap between Fallen Order and Survivor.
We're just over two weeks away from the next bit of new Star Wars Jedi content - Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, a novel that tells the story of the Mantis crew years before the events of Jedi: Survivor. With launch being so close, reviews for the novel have started appearing online alongside excerpts from the novel, giving us a brief look into what Cal, Cere, Merrin, and Greez got up to after Fallen Order.

One of the recent excerpts has revealed something pretty exciting for Star Wars Jedi fans - Merrin is pansexual. Sam Maggs, the author of Jedi: Battle Scars shared a few reviews on her Twitter and they all highlight that Merrin is a key figure in the novel and that she stars in some pretty steamy scenes with a stormtrooper defector.
One of these scenes was shared in an excerpt from IGN, which describes Merrin going up against a group of stormtroopers and finding herself enamoured with her "lavender neck", "jutting chin and full lips", and "eyes as red as the sky over Dathomir’s Rift Valley", which is clearly intended to be romantic. Reviews for the novel also mention that the novel "fed us horny Star Wars gays", openly implying the romance becomes is featured throughout the book.
