Looking to plan out your 2023 gaming year in a way that won’t completely destroy your wallet? Well, Valve is there for you, as they’ve revealed the full schedule of every sale coming to Steam this year. These include the big seasonal sales, smaller ones focused on specific genres, and more, so open up your calendar and set some reminders!
First up, we have the dates for the big four seasonal sales (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) which will see thousands of titles discounted.
There will also be a variety of “fests” that focus on a specific genre.
“Each of these fests is built around shining a spotlight on a particular category of games with corresponding eligibility criteria for each. These events prioritize discounted games, but also have space for free games, upcoming releases, and games with demos.”
Finally, there are a pair of Next Fests, which focus on demos of upcoming indie titles.
“Running three times a year (the first has already happened), Steam Next Fest is a multi-day celebration where fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch livestreams, and learn about upcoming games on Steam. For developers, Steam Next Fest is an opportunity to get early feedback from players and build an audience for a future launch on Steam.”
Not a bad lineup of events and sales! In addition to the big seasonal sales, as an adventure and horror fan, I’ll definitely be checking in during Visual Novel Fest and Steam Scream Fest. What Steam sales are you most looking forward to?
