October has rolled in, and along with it, new Monster Hunter Now events. So what’s in store? Well, you won’t be shocked to hear that there’s a Halloween event on the cards, but before that there’s a pretty vibrant surprise.
On October 9th the Pink Rathian starts showing up in forest habitats. You’ll have until October 15th to bag as many of this rare variation of the flying wyvern as you can, before they disappear, perhaps forever, so there’s no time to lose.
On October 25th the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt kicks off, with a spooky new field map, and all new Halloween-themed equipment. There might also be something a little… off about the Kulu-Ya-Ku during this period. Keep an eye out and you’ll see what we mean.
The Halloween Pumpkin Hunt runs up until October 31st, so check in if you want to make the most of it.
Monster Hunter Now is the newest title from Pokemon GO developer Niantic, and it’s not too far removed from the monster-catching phenomenon.
The crucial difference? Well, instead of catching the monsters you find wandering about you instead uh, kill them, skin them, and turn their hides into new drip. …yay? Don’t feel too guilty, these beasts wouldn’t think twice about turning you into Monster Hunter tartare if you happen to slip up.
So as you wander around you encounter all kinds of creatures from the series. Small monsters go down without too much of a fight, but the big ones you’ll need to work harder to take out. You have to time your attacks, dodges, and special skills to avoid going from hunter to hunted.
If you’ve not tried out Monster Hunter Now yet and want to give it a go, you can check the game out now on Google Play, and get onto the Monster Hunter Now events.
