Cassidy's magnetic grenade ability in Overwatch 2 represents just one of the many character tweaks made in the sequel, and it hasn't ceased to annoy fans of the game since it launched in October last year. This sticky explosive weapon was intended to be an upgrade from the gunslinging Overwatch 2 character's earlier flashbang grenade, which itself was famed for giving Cassidy players a pretty unfair advantage at times.
Replacing Cassidy's flashbang grenade in Overwatch 2, his magnetic grenade seeks and sticks to targets at a medium range instead of simply subduing them on impact. The ability itself is capable of delivering some hefty damage to most heroes in the game save for tanks, with the grenade dealing 130 points of blast damage along with 1 extra point of damage upon initially sticking an enemy. Combined with a single body shot from Cassidy's Peacekeeper revolver, this is enough to almost instantly eliminate a foe with 200 health points. While this may seem somewhat outrageous in itself, the real problem for players is the grenade's often ridiculous tracking capabilities, with players even getting stuck by the grenade through walls occasionally.
