Mirrorwatch, the reversed reality game mode coming in Overwatch 2 Season 10, will be taking place from April 23 through May 13. For three weeks, players will be able to play villainous versions of their favorite Overwatch 2 heroes, and heroic versions of their favorite villains, with a unique twist on familiar abilities.
The 10th season of Overwatch 2 is about to begin. In addition to Venture, the first new DPS hero since Overwatch 2’s launch, Season 10 is bringing Mirrorwatch. Most of the skins on the Overwatch2 Battle Pass for Season 10 are inspired by this alternative universe theme, transforming Overwatch heroes into members of Talon, Hanzo and Kiriko into Hashimoto, and tons of similar role swaps.
However, this Mirrorwatch theme is set to go deeper than just skins. During Season 10, Overwatch 2 is holding a three-week Mirrorwatch event. Players can drop into a twisted version of Watchpoint Gibraltar as a Talon base, with one team playing Talon versions of iconic Overwatch heroes, while the other plays Overwatch versions of the antagonists from Talon. The event is set to begin on April 23 – one week after Season 10 launches.
Were that not exciting enough, the playable characters in Mirrorwatch will have some reimagined abilities based on their virtuous or villainous twists. Some heroes have new abilities, such as Overwatch 2's new Mythic Vengeance Mercy’s Soul Burn or Agent Colomar Sombra’s Anti-Virus Ultimate, while others gain new features on their existing kit, like the Reinhardt-like shield on Strike Commander Doomfist’s Power Block. Fans will have to wait until the event begins to see how their favorite heroes and villains play while fighting for the other side.
