It appears that Steam users in Vietnam are unable to access the platform.
Game Developer reports that players in the country have taken to Steam's forums to complain that local internet providers are blocking access to the platform. Both the application and browser access have been locked off seemingly. One commenter claims that the decision came "from above".
Meanwhile, local publication VietnamNet reports that this might be due to how Valve is operating its Steam platform. One domestic publisher says that the company can release games in Vietnam without government approval, while local developers and publishers have to go through an approval process.

PCGamesInsider.biz has reached out to Valve and the Ministry of Information and Communications for comment.
