The Co-Worker Game, IKEA’s virtual store on Roblox, launches on June 24th. The most awesome thing about this is that you’ll even get paid for it! These paid positions let you earn some real cash while arranging pixelated Lack tables and selling virtual meatballs.
The gig is hot right now. Roblox x IKEA is looking for 10 enthusiastic players for The Co-Worker Game. Just like there are certain eligibility requirements when you apply for a job position, this one needs you to be 18 years or older. Plus, you should be living in the UK or Ireland.
You can apply for these paid roles until June 16th. Virtual interviews for the shortlisted candidates will happen between June 14th and 18th. If you make the cut, they’ll pay you the same rate as IKEA’s London co-workers. That will be £13.15 per hour for the time you spend in the game.
On getting chosen, you’ll get to show off your customer service skills and help out in different parts of the store. You can switch departments and try out different roles, just like in a real job. And you might even get a promotion as the Manager if you perform really well.
It’s all part of IKEA’s ‘Careers Done Different’ campaign, which is designed to attract new talent to the company. The campaign also helps them show the wide range of roles and career paths one can explore at IKEA. It’s actually a clever way for IKEA to tap into the gaming world and attract a new generation of workers.
