There's a new State of Play on the way. Sony made the announcement earlier today confirming we'll get a look "at some anticipated games from our third-party partners, as well as a first glimpse at five PlayStation VR2 games set to arrive later this year." We're also going to get 15 whole minutes of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which will include gameplay and new details we haven't seen.
Sony's next State of Play arrives Thursday at 1 PM PT (4 PM ET). Expect some "hot indie" games as well as five new PS VR2 games coming from Sony partners.

You can be forgiven for having forgotten about Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The game was first announced in August 2020 with a release date of 2022, but the pandemic had a way of making fools of release dates, and Suicide Squad was soon delayed to the spring of 2023. The game features Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang as they attempt to kill the Justice League, which have all been brainwashed by Brainiac. Confirmed for the Justice Leave are Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Batman in the last-ever performance of the late Kevin Conroy.
A spiritual sequel to the Batman: Arkham series, New Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is also getting a prequel comic that will reveal the origins of the Suicide Squad courtesy of Amanda Waller. Called Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum, the comics will be naturally published by DC with issue #1 set to arrive on May 30. There will be five comics in this series with each issue coming with an in-game cosmetic item.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League arrives May 26 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
