As part of Thursday's PlayStation State of Play, Rocksteady Studios confirmed early plans for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League post-launch content, including DLC and a battle pass. It's long been rumored that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would be a live service game and while Rocksteady didn't use that label specifically, it may as well have. Those that pick up Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be able to continue playing the game well beyond its main campaign.
The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League portion of today's State of Play confirmed a significant amount of information about the upcoming third-person shooter. A full gameplay demo was shown, with combat footage from all the game's launch protagonists, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark. A good look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's gear system was also shown, as it's a major aspect of the looter shooter's progression and gameplay loop.

That gameplay loop will carry over well into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's future, it seems. Rocksteady explained that it has robust DLC plans for its game post-launch. In terms of gameplay, Rocksteady says that players can expect «lots of new content.» Specific examples include character DLC, mission-based DLC, and additional weapons. No mention was made regarding whether this content will be premium or freely available.
