Peter Parker and Miles Morales have both built strong legacies as Spider-Man, but offers an actual answer as to which one has more potential in the role. Both characters have featured a wide variety of incarnations and storyline across comics, films, and more, but the games have taken care to build consistent story arcs with each of them. Although Peter was the focus of the first game, Miles got his chance to shine in, and the two share the spotlight together in the newest entry of the franchise.

took on the story of a Peter Parker who had already undergone his origins and mastered the basics of web-swinging, picking up with a post-collegiate character adept at handling various villains and challenges. Miles, on the other hand, experiences the beginning of his narrative on the sidelines of the game, starting out as a regular civilian and eventually developing his powers to pave the way for future exploits. Miles is still something of a star on the rise in, but his sheer power and quick adaptability do more than even the playing field.
The crucial test of Miles's strength in comes when he has to face off against Peter himself – more specifically, Peter taken over by the Venom symbiote. The power of Venom makes Peter even stronger than he usually is, imbuing him with alien strength and unique abilities that make for an especially ferocious foe. Crucially, however, Miles is actually able to beat him thoroughly. Miles takes him down so that he can remove the symbiote suit from Peter's body and restore his friend to his normal state, a truly impressive feat.
