's story tells the next chapter in the lives of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they face both superpowered and personal battles. While the game's story has been widely praised and tells a mostly complete narrative, it does leave some loose ends, which it could tie up in story DLC.

While 2020's didn't have any DLC, the first title in the series, 2018's did. Insomniac Games has already confirmed more post-launch content for than there was for its 2020 predecessor, so there's plenty it could introduce to expand its story before the seemingly inevitable .
The first game's DLC added nine additional suits with three for each chapter, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see developer Insomniac Games do the same thing with 's DLC. A lot of Peter's suits from aren't included in 's Peter suits, so it would be nice to see the DLC and post-launch content add some of these back into the game.
There are also several fan-favorite costumes from across the character's long history that haven't been added to Insomniac's games at all. Some of these have been teased by one of 's collectible Spider-Bots, such as Ben Reilly's suit, so it would be great to see these adapted by Insomniac.

From a gameplay perspective, it would be interesting to introduce more powers in 's DLC. In the base game, players can pick and choose which buttons to map powers to, with the choice between Peter's mechanical arms or his symbiote powers, and a variety of bioelectric Venom abilities — which are not related to the Venom symbiote — for Miles.
