Studio Wildcard’s Ark: Survival Ascended has faced another delay on the Xbox Series X/S. Originally meant to launch on November 14th, it was delayed due to the ongoing certification process. Though set to launch later in the week, it’s now targeting early this week.
The latest delay is due to “unexpected issues” in the certification process, with the developer working with Microsoft to “resubmit the build as soon as possible.” It planned to share a more “precise update” by the end of last week, which is still pending. Nevertheless, it’s “working hard to get it out the door.”
As for the PS5 version, Studio Wildcard assures it’s “directly iterating” with its partners and Sony, so it’s still on track for launch by November end. It will share a more precise launch window as the developer makes “more meaningful progress.”
Ark: Survival Ascended is available now for PC via Steam Early Access. It was planned as a free upgrade to Ark: Survival Evolved but became a standalone release. Developed on Unreal Engine 5.2, it offers gorgeous visuals, revamped physics and several quality-of-life features, though its technical performance needs improving. Check out our review here.
