A major character death in may have just been revealed via leaks. As its title would suggest, Rocksteady's upcoming shooter will have players assuming control of Amanda Waller's Task Force X — consisting of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang — as they are sent on a mission to kill the DC universe's top superhero team, the Justice League, who have fallen victim to Brainiac's mind-control.

Between Thursday, November 30, and Sunday, December 3, Rocksteady held a closed Alpha Tech Test for . The details of this playtest were supposed to be confidential, and those who were invited to participate signed a non-disclosure agreement. Despite this, the test has still resulted in several leaks from data miners who didn't participate, and while these have largely consisted of what playable characters will be introduced post-launch, major story beats may have also been revealed as a result.
Considering the game's name, it is not too surprising to hear that some of the Justice League may die as part of the main narrative. However, one such death was shared in a now-deleted Reddit post by Username41968 breaking down what could be a summary of the main story, and has proven to be massively controversial among fans if true. The leak contained audio of the moment in which Batman is shot and killed by Harley Quinn at point-blank range before she displays his corpse to create a makeshift Batsymbol.
