Capcom has released a new video in preparation of Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary, which kicks off in March.
The video includes a message from series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. There isn’t a whole lot of substance to the video, but Tsujimoto confirmed that the poll results for the community voted favorite monster will be shared in March and Capcom showed off a couple of new illustrations featuring the top three voted monsters.
The official 20th anniversary website received an update, highlighting the announcement of a new Alatreon figure and a number of Monster Hunter products being made in collaboration with MSI.
As one might expect, Capcom made mention of Monster Hunter Wilds, which was announced at 2023’s The Game Awards, letting fans know that more information on the game will be made available sometime this summer.
Capcom also dove into some sales figures for the series, noting that Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter: World sold 13 million and 23 million copies, respectively.
There’s not a whole lot for fans to chew on just yet when it comes to Capcom’s Monster Hunter anniversary plans, but we’ll bring you any new information as it develops.
